subtitled: "the man on the bench is the girl in the tree"

Brasil has some of the best looking women in the world. worlds cannot really describe... brasil also has some of the best looking men in the world.... even if your portugese is rusty, you should be able to figure out the type of parade these pictures came from. these were shot sunday, june 30th the night Brasil won the World Cup. the whole country was celebrating like you can't imagine. bolstered by the win, the parade was huge, it lasted several hours and thousands of people from the streets joined in. it was an amazing people watching experience.

the subtitle comes from an encounter i had which stretched over two days. there was a nice young 'lady', wearing a skimpy 2piece and she was perched in a tree. call it morbid curiosity or something but i went over to this 'lady' and motioned with my camera asking if it was OK to take a picture of 'her'. 'she' obliged me with a full on set of poses in the tree. i snapped a couple pictuers, barely able to keep from laughing out loud. the next day, walking down the copacabana beach I saw this same guy napping on a bench.

this flag stretched 3 blocks and took 25 minutes to pass where i stood. this picture was shot without a flash or tripod at 1600iso to avoid overexposing the top of the flag. the high iso setting makes the picture naturally grainy which gives the picture a surreal feeling.
