the brasilians have a saying: a noite é uma criança. literally "the night is a child", figuratively, carpe noite (seize the night).

subtle wording, dramatic in practice difference to "seize the day" oft quoted in the States. while these are some of my most tame pictures on the site rest assured that the Brazilians that i met did whole-heartedly believe in seizing the night (i just can't show you pictures of it :-)
