| DISCLAIMER i just want to let everyone know that i did this web site in its entirety before the 11th of September. All the titles and commentary, picture editing and etc was completed a week before the attack (the ONLY changes i've made is by adding this disclaimer, and changing the format of the NYC front page). I do not wish to make light of what happened by posting this site. Some of my picture titles of the twin towers are (as usual for me) a bit whimsical. Please keep this in mind that as you view this site. Had I known then what I know now.... I thought about changing some of my original titles, or commentary, but to me that would lessen the site's integrity. I take pictures, and then comment them based on what I perceive and feel at the moment and to change my views after the fact would only cheapen my images. It chills me to think of how my life would be different had i visited NYC 2 weeks later. One quick word on human nature: on the ferry to and from NJ where i took most of my pictures of the manhattan skyline i was asked by a lady why i was taking pictures of manhattan. i told her maybe someday i'll sell them, and besides it's gorgeous. she asks "haven't enough pictures of manhattan been taken?" Her narrow minded ignorance of beauty, taking for granted the splendors of this world struck me then, and strikes me even more now. I wonder if she remembers the words she spoke to me in light of recent events. i was very close to telling her that i had to sell pictures because selling drugs was getting to dangerous, and i had already spent too much time in jail. I opted not too, and went back to my shooting, leaving her still questioning my sanity .Now, without further ado here are some images of manhattan, the WTC, etc. taken in my 3.5 days in the big apple.

few people realize that the name for manhattan actually comes from robert louis stevinson's tale about the madhatter who ate too much lead paint chips as a child.
