In london's Hyde park there is a place called "speakers corner" it is where you go to speak your mind and have it heard. some talk religion, some anarchy, some gibberish. if you want to learn to speak on your feet and deal with hecklers... this is the place. my visit to hyde park just happened to coincide with a hudge anti-america rally. they called it an "anti war demonstration" but the words that came out of protestors mouths didn't match this so it's more aptly called anti-america or anti-american.

the hecklers
(graydend subtle color aspect)
2 of the queen's finest heckle a speaker in hyde park.  amazingly armed only with 3 cans of Fosters ("it's australian for beer, mate!"), a large silver pot, and part of a vacuum cleaner, these 2 are remarkably able to transform themselves from normal humans to utter buffoons.

why the empire was lost
one look at the previously shown heckler, makes it all to clear why the world slipped away from them...

Jesus freak
"what will people think if they hear that i'm a Jesus freak.  what will people do when the find that it's true?  i don't really care if they label me a Jesus freak cause there aint no disguising the truth"-- song by dc Talk.

This man has the courage to tell others what he believes in... even though this world disapproves.

the menacing bobby

a police photographer photographs protesters in hyde park at an anti-america rally.  many of the camera's targets were pro-socialist, or pro-communist demonstrators.  behind the photographer is a big, menacing looking bobby, protecting the photographer as most of the protesters did not like having their pictures taken.  they were fine to practice their freedom of speech, but had trouble accepting another well accepted freedom: "freedom of the press"   when the police photographer or even amateur rich, pointed a camera at them, they'd cover their faces and walk away...  talk about being proud to stand up for what you believe in....not.  tough looking protesters yelling at the top of their lungs, waving signs fanatically would suddenly shut up and walk away tail between their legs as soon as you tried to capture them on film - kind of a power-trip.

cause
i played peek-a-boo with this guy for about 2 minutes.  i just kept the camera pointed at him, and about every 30 seconds or so, he'd peek out behind his sign to see if i had gone away. after getting several pictures he became disgusted and walked off.
