with over 100k objects, this is the mother of all egyptian museums... or should i say "mummy of all" :-) (sorry, couldn't resist) hopefully the age-old bad pun won't take away from these amazing...or great, or good, or nearly good, or not so shabby pictures, or not very good....anyway.

his right ear is pierced too. i should be a pharaoh.. anyway... they believed that the death mask should look exactly like the dead king, so they pierced the ears and buried the king wearing ear-rings.
