a cab driver wonders why this guy has just
taken 10 pictures inside his taxi. to get the right setting of the outside
sunset lighting and the flash lighting inside, i had to shoot (with flash) about
10 pictures before getting this one perfect. by default when using a flash
the camera will use a fast shutter speed which would make the outside of the cab
look almost pitch black. i had to stop down the flash by a about 1.5
stops, and overexpose the general exposure by about a stop to get the lighting
equal.
illuminated chairs in waiting giza
just after sunset and
before night falls, these chairs are illuminated by flood lamps in anticipation
of the crowds that will fill them for a sound and light show. khufu, the
largest pyramid is on the right (137m), khafre on the left (136m)

history of egypt giza
the sound and light show features an
ultra-incredibly cheesy booming voice belching through awful loud speakers that
related the tale of this land before time. -- not to spoil anyone's perception
of this amazing experience, the lights were as cheesy as the voice over....
the pyramid of menkaure is the small one on the left

one advantage to losing your nose is the absence of
harsh shadows caused by direct lighting :-)
